Labor Time Calculation - Socialism of the 21st Century

In addition to presenting the concept of work-time accounting through lectures and digital media formats, we continue to recommend reading the original work by the Group of International Communists, The Fundamental Principles of Communist Production and Distribution. This book was the first to develop the idea of work-time accounting as a guiding principle of a self-organized socialist economy, distinguishing it from social-democratic and Bolshevik concepts of socialism. In this sense, the book also provides valuable insights into the historical context of the workers’ movement around 1930, as well as the foundations of Marxist theory. However, given its historical context, the book includes challenging passages, making it worthwhile to read with supplementary materials or guidance.

At the moment, there are no plans for a reading group on the Fundamental Principles. However, we are generally available to act as facilitators or mentors for self-organized reading groups. This, however, requires your active interest and initiative.
